Privacy Policy

If you sign in with email and password, we store:

• Your email address and chosen username
• A salted, hashed version of your password (we never store or can see your actual password)

If you sign in with Google, we receive and store:

• Your email address (used to identify your account)
• Your name (used to suggest a username)
• Your Google profile picture URL (shown as your avatar)

We do not receive or request access to your Google Drive, contacts, calendar, or any other Google data — only basic profile information (openid, email, profile scopes).

We also store, as part of normal operation:

• Games, ratings, favorites, follows, and match history you create
• Basic request logs (IP address, timestamps) kept by Google Cloud for security and abuse prevention
• A lightweight generation audit log (which account, which endpoint, success/failure, and a one-way hash of your IP address) used to detect abuse and control AI costs — we do not store the text of your game descriptions or feedback in this log

• We do not sell your data.
• We do not use your data for advertising.
• We do not share your data with third parties except the infrastructure providers needed to run the service (Google Cloud for hosting/database, OpenAI for AI game generation).

When you use the game-creation feature, the text you enter (rules, UI description, feedback) is sent to OpenAI's API to generate the game. Review OpenAI's own privacy policy for how they handle API data. Do not include personal information about other people in your generation prompts.

Data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database (Neon) with encrypted connections. Recovery copies and production access are restricted to the service operator.

You can request that your account and associated data be deleted at any time by sending a DM to @Meeplia on X. During the closed beta this is handled manually.

Since Meeplia is in active development during the beta, this policy may change. Meaningful changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
